All my charts are adjusted for dividends, which is the default setting on StockCharts. It is the default for a reason. I apologize if I came across short, but this is a conversation I have had many times, and it becomes a distraction. The difference is like Wayne Gretzky skating to where the puck is going to be versus the play-by-play calling where it has already been. My job is to highlight signals suggesting the potential for momentum. What someone chooses to do with that is up to them, including which chart they use and how they respond to it. In my world, charts that are not adjusted for dividends do not exist because they are like reading last week’s newspaper today.

@SetYourStop I'm not debating. I think it's a beautiful chart and whether you use the adjusted or non-adjusted is purely a choice. I just think it makes sense to mention when a chart has been adjusted for dividends.

People get in their own way. Watch price action and trade it. This debate is a distraction. Momentum is appearing and risk can be defined. It does not matter which chart someone uses as long as they are reacting to the chart in front of them and managing risk appropriately. Charts that are not adjusted for dividends move slower and can cause the signal to appear late.
