My 10 year old son loved the Harry Potter books but he is now done with the series. Looking for recommendations on a book series he could read next that would excite him as much as the Harry Potter one!?

@JoshGoodman_BU Saying this is as someone who accepts and does almost every referee request and I've never ghosted. But I've been waiting too long for papers lately. Maybe different if someone declines to review, but I think coming up with policy there too helps

@JoshGoodman_BU My gut is desk reject if it's really been 3 or more times of accepted a review then ghosted and say it in the letter with the times it has happen. Make a policy. I have no editorial experience & I see a lot of people I respect say it's unethical, would love to hear the thinking
