What surprises me about Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau is that he remains absent from mainstream politics for a full tenure, yet a sitting governor of Kano State always ends up seeking him for his support. Even Kwankwaso once needed the support and blessings of Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, the same goes for Ganduje and more recently, Abba Kabir Yusuf. This level of steeze in politics is something I’ve never seen.

There’s nothing happening today under this administration that didn’t also happen under the administration of Late Muhammad Buhari. He governed this country for 8 years, yet there’s little to show for it in the North. Maybe if we had given him the same energy we’re now giving Bola Ahmed Tinubu after just three years, the North would have been a better place, just maybe.
