Be more optimistic and do the math. Basic store is like $20/month. Gives you 1,000 free listings and lower fees. Doesn't take many extra sales to cover that if the cards are $3-$4 each. It comes down to efficiency, organization, and overhead. I list a card in 15 seconds with batchq.

@SevroRR @BreakerCulture I sell lots of cards 5 and up, but have 5k cards between 3-4$. Just not sure how it is worth it with fees, and limited space on ebay. I have 250 listings already, only way to get more room is a store. But those low value cards will not make up the cost of a store I don't think

Make sure your shipping policy covers the shipping materials or bake it into the listing price. There are ways to streamline this. Thermal label printer, eBay standard envelopes, etc. I wouldn't be selling individual $1 cards but a bunch of $5 cards listed in seconds would be worth it.
