The attack yesterday on the main hospital in Al-Fashir, #Sudan, resulted in 9 deaths and 20 injuries among patients and their companions. New @WHO report highlights links between quality of #healthcare and life expectancy, likelihood of death from non-communicable diseases #NCDs and avoidable patient harm. For every additional 🏥 national action plan or policy used, healthy life expectancy at birth increases by 0.57 years while probability of dying from selected NCDs decreases by 1.34%.
