I went to the NS Legislature website to get contact information for my MLA @MaslandMLA, and found a GMAIL ACCOUNT?! Is this legal in Nova Scotia? How does it work with security standards and Access to Information requests? I only know the rules at the federal level.

Toronto, this line is coming right at you. This isn’t one to fool around with. Low chance of tornadoes, but straight line winds are significant. Take shelter now! @weathernetwork #onstorm

Given the #ONStorm we're seeing in #HamOnt, now's a good time to make sure your electronics that store data are plugged in to surge protectors. (Or unplug them altogether if not in use.)

@rawatrocks2008 I called ArriveCan and was told we have to have the results that show the full name, date of birth and the lab that did the testing. I was able to get a copy of full results after being very persistent with Switch Health as they were the ones that did the testing.

@ShannonS @GovCanHealth That’s what is my concern. But I believe we should be fine as we can login to ontario government website using our details and show them the results taken in last 90 days. Please let me know if you get to know more.

@GovCanHealth Are the positive covid test results received from Government of Ontario’s website within 11 and 180 days considered as Proof of previous positive?

@ShannonS Want to do it but don’t let up. I was paranoid too and didn’t have issues. Especially if it’s the USA, I don’t think they are all that much haha. But the CBSA agent I wouldn’t know. But don’t let Switch get away with it. They’re at 1844-930-4071.

@FlySwoop can you confirm what you will accept as proof of a previous positive COVID infection to travel? I only have a screenshot of the Ontario portal but surname is greyed out and OHIP number is greyed out except last 4 digits.

@aprilsets I sat on the phone telling her multiple times I would wait until a supervisor was available and said that I didn’t want the result for travel anymore I wanted it for my daughters medical record

@aprilsets They only want people to use their paid travel testing.

@aprilsets I did it! It took a while but I stood my ground. They will send it to me “only because it was done in December before they made it a rule that they don’t send out the results”?? They said there is some rule that they don’t send results because people will use them for travel.

@aprilsets @FlySwoop Yes, driving. I called Switch but they told me to call Peel Public Health. I don’t understand why we can’t download proper results from Ontario since they clearly have the results. Such a hassle. I’m thinking most people just use the sceeenshot. I’m paranoid lol

@ShannonS @FlySwoop I did with no help from Swoop. Are you driving to the USA? I didn’t have issues with the screencap of the Ontario portal flying from Florida to Ontario but I think it depends on who you get. I had argue w/ Switch Health to get unredacted copies of my results.

@aprilsets @FlySwoop Did you ever find out? I’m not flying but can’t figure out if my Ontario results are valid for ArriveCAN.

@audrawilliams I’ve never had anyone complain about anything before, but GGC is trying to draw in new members who may have avoided it in the past.

@audrawilliams I’m a Girl Guide leader. The message for the past few years to the leaders is to avoid anything religious. Our group still made Valentines cards for Meals and Wheels because we also need service projects we can do during COVID!

@audrawilliams Also, some leaders that have been around a long time have trouble changing their ways and want to do the things they have always done. Which I don’t agree with. I think Valentine’s Day is really one of those things that is really on the fence.

@AshleyBurkeCBC Any news about how it applies to people who were recently infected? News release quick notes mentions providing proof of previous positive molecular test but doesn’t say anything about that in the main statement.

Federal officials say the antigen test will apply to all fully vaccinated travelers entering Canada, not just Canadians returning home.

Breaking: Gov't will announce today that starting March 1 fully-vaccinated Canadians will have to show proof of a negative rapid antigen test to return to Canada, CBC News has learned. The PCR testing requirement will be dropped. This is in line with the U.S.

@jkwan_md The backlog has taken up to 10-14 days in some Ontario public unit labs. We get swamped with calls from people wanting their PCR results. The recommended isolation period usually ends before they get their PCR results back.

Outpatient situation right now... 1⃣Hard to get a #COVID19 test 2⃣Not eligible for treatment unless you test + 3⃣If you manage to get tested, long wait for results 4⃣Sometimes the test result gets... lost? 5⃣Even if eligible for treatment... it may be backordered or not available

@Kidsdoc1Rick My name was spelled incorrectly, my DOB was wrong and even my sex was wrong. Thankfully the OHIP# was right. Luckily I had taken a photo of the vial (it was a self-test kit) & all the info was right when it was submitted, so someone at the lab was half asleep (can I blame them).

@CheriDiNovo We are at 14 days now waiting for my son’s results in Halton. Called testing centre a couple of days ago and they said they’re still waiting for results from Dec 24!
