I'm a bit of a content creator and so I spent a lot of time on social media but what I found is I had to change my habits because of the same thing you're talking about. Instead of scrolling through what social media tells me I should be interested in I now go to specific creators and look at their content. I noticed some of my favorite content creators were not popping up on my timeline anymore and I was getting things like what you're talking about...

Social media used to be about funny cat videos and pics of food. Today’s social media is all about why I should be OUTRAGED at whatever event someone decided I should be mad about. Humans were not meant for this level of anger and hate and bickering. Go talk to someone in real life. They don’t act like this in the real world. Social media is spiraling in the wrong direction and it makes me less and less excited to be a part of it. I’m a much happier person when I don’t have millions of people screaming at me about why I should be so mad about X or Y event.
