Disgusting large bug crawling into my drink as I lay in the dark.... How I hate it here, in this filthy place. I wish the Lord would allow me to perish or better yet drive all these many vermin away from me. Just a month ago there were even rats in my walls, of whom I had to hear each night right next to my head as I laid myself to rest.

One of my family clan crests has a black man's head on a knife depicted on the fabric plate, the aforementioned blade gripped by a triumphant fist. The tawny-skinned victim has large golden hoop earrings, and in another depiction he has a red bandana! It fascinates me with unclear origin and I do adore the maligning motif. I quite wonder what it means... It feels foreboding.
