During the 1992 season, Gary Sheffield and Tony Gwynn combined for 1138 plate appearances. The two of them combined, struck out only 56 times that year. Unheard of

@e_m_e_t_i_b @TerribleTerry83 I didn’t like him as a heel. I didn’t like him as a babyface. So when he was headlining every show and burying everyone in the same boring endings, I tuned out.

America is dotted with mid-sized regional hub cities like Chattanooga that are in general the closest to a best of all possible worlds as far as urban life/rural life mixture a place can get, lots of cultural activities and cool urban aesthetics with generally more manageable traffic and lower cost of living than the “big” cities. People in the big cities spend much of their time shitting on these lovely manageably sized regional hubs because they’ve never been to them and are by and large the most provincial closed minded people you’ll ever meet

I don’t like the shade being thrown at my city Chattanooga, Tennessee acting like the Spanish national team is training in some third world country. Chattanooga is a plenty nice enough place for any national team to post up a couple months Put some respect on the Scenic City

People used to say Donald Trump was a poor person’s idea of a rich person. Graham Platner is a rich person’s idea of a poor person.

Maine voter asked about Platner: "Probing into the minutiae of his personal relationships when you don't do that for any other candidate is ridiculous."

I've been calling the balls and strikes on my own side for well over a decade now, and have lost friends, had family relations grow distant, and lost professional relationships and opportunities because I wouldn't stay quiet when I saw the Republican Party justify support for immoral behavior, unprincipled politics, and ethically compromised people and behavior. Why on earth would I stay silent when the Democratic Party engages in all the same kind of compromising justifications? I didn't stand on principle through all this time and sacrifice everything I've sacrificed through this populist era just to hold my tongue because "we have to beat Trump." I will continue to do what I've always done. I will speak my mind and not sacrifice my dignity on the altar of political expedience. And I will especially never acquiesce to the corruption of the cult of authenticity.
