Everyone is "tolerating" this woman because she seems "ache ghar ki". She is wearing decent clothes, speaking in English. So the police will let her be, the minister will act cordial. If in her place, it was a rickshaw driver (whose time is also equally important), he would be thrashed by the cops right there and the minister would laugh on his face. That is the "system" we have created in India. Ministers and politicians act like kings, and we are supposed to be under their mercy. The middle class will be tolerated but eventually shown their place. The poor have no say and only matter when their vote is needed.

अदालत में भगवा रंग को लोग अक्सर गौरव का प्रतीक मानते हैं, जब तक उन्हें खुद किसी बेंच के सामने खड़े होकर इंसाफ न माँगना पड़े। जिस दिन ताक़तवर लोग अदालत की कुर्सियों पर अपने लोगों को बैठा देते हैं, उस दिन से वो कुर्सी सिर्फ उनकी हो जाती है हम आम लोगों की नहीं रह जाती। और जब अदालत ही किसी की अपनी हो जाए, तो इंसाफ़ मांगने वाला चाहे कोई भी हो, हाथ जोड़े, सिर झुकाए, बस एक उम्मीद लेकर खड़ा रहता है और एक कोर्ट से दूसरे कोर्ट भागता रहता है। रिविज़न, बेंच, आर्बिट्रेशन, स्टे, हियरिंग, एडजर्नमेंट के जाल में वह फँसता चला जाता है। (speaking from experience) यह सियासत नहीं है। यह संविधान का सवाल है। और यह सवाल हर एक नागरिक का है क्योंकि जब न्यायपालिका प्रभावित हो जाती है, तो इंसाफ़ कमज़ोर पड़ता है और तब सिर्फ़ एक व्यक्ति नहीं, पूरी लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था हारती है।
