@austinjamesigwe @princemjd08 @eldivine That’s a different argument, that many people have clearly demonstrated here. Your day starts with the light of the sun, sunlight brings heat and allows plants to grow. Of course the cycle of creation would start with light, it’s the most intuitive thing, no?

I find it fascinating that the speed of light is the universal constant, and somehow the Bible says that God’s first command was “Let there be light”.
Like think about it, if you were Moses trying to invent a religion from your imagination, there was nothing intuitive about that as your starting point 5,000 years ago.
Consider that people were thinking the sun revolves around the earth even as late as Middle Ages.

And while there are physical light depictions for Yahweh, it’s not his major form either.
Funny thing is that later Christian mythologies presents another character as embodying physical light; the lightbringer, the morning star…

Yahweh is more associated with a storm motif than a light one, and it can be argued that the light imagery associated with Yahweh are usually more abstract…

The light of the sun provides life, nurtures the plants, thaws out frozen lakes and water bodies. Artificial light protects us from predators at night

If you meet someone who genuinely believes in vampires, you’d just call them childish, or insane.
You refuse to do that with religion because of indoctrination, sometimes cowardice, not intellectual honesty.

I think this is disingenuous, especially because one can be agnostic about everything to the point of solipsism.
Of course, you can’t be sure about the existence of a god, same way you’re agnostic about vampires, but you don’t think of it as a more honest stance…

Crazy idea, what if they made it entirely animated? That way they can have complete control over the characters hair and not have to key out any scenes

My theory is they wanted to make it easier to do the green screen VFX, and straighter hair makes easier borders and edges

Did you know you can separate the background image and the actual lighting from an HDRi environment in Blender? It works in both EEVEE and Cycles, just use the Light Path - is Camera Ray output as a mix factor between 2 hdri's. #b3d

The logic seems to be that this puts reproductive power (which apparently used to be on women) on men, so the women are stupid because????
