The lead bidder for a contract to build two new freight flex vessels to serve the Aberdeen to Kirkwall/Lerwick Route has been identified. Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL) intends to award the contract to the GSI Shipyard in China, following a 10-day standstill period.
