I am delighted to say that my new book, The Psychology of Blindness and Visual Culture, was officially published today. It was almost 20 years since the beginning of the study for this book, so very pleased to see it in print! routledge.com/The-Psychology…

@glensheader @Johnny_Ravo Thank you, Glen! I am trying to persuade audio book producers to record it. I am donating a copy to BookShare, so hopefully they can develop this.

@nxcare Currently on National Express from Chippenham to London. Spent £6 reserving a seat. Coach came, we were told by driver no seat reservations. My young son and I are now in different parts of the coach - he is a child. Would like reservations refunded!

They really do need to ban folk from titles such as Professor unless they've actually done some peer reviewed research at that level. I know it's a job title rather than an academic level of achievment but imo it does demean it for those who have done the hard graft of research.

“All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake up in the day to find it was vanity, but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” T.E. Lawrence, Seven Pillars

just starting off deaf-blind awareness week incredibly frustrated that people think it's acceptable to research us about us, looks like we have gone back to the old phrase 'nothing about us without us'
