@yogaACAB I’ve had months like this and then suddenly something clicks and it gets easier. In the meantime I remind myself that I am getting good exercise and “this is supposed to be fun”

@snarkyjarky @DrP_Principal To present the alternate viewpoint, separating a child who has been shown to benefit from inclusion to a sped Ed classroom all day does not help them to learn and grow. They regress.

@DrP_Principal How to coordinate with intervention and SPED teachers. Explain how ‘exposing’ a student 2 or 3 grades behind to grade level standards does anything beyond making the student and teachers feel worse. What is the benefit? Cost cutting? Widening the gap? Crushing spirits?

@Theholisticpsyc I don’t know what to do about this with a coworker. I don’t want to give the silent treatment but am choosing not to interact with her because she is being rude to me every time we interact.

The silent treatment is a form of emotional abuse. Intentionally punishing someone with removal of love is a coping mechanism of emotionally immature people. It says: when you do something I don't like, I deny your very existence.

I raised my hand to cover my sneeze while driving and 3 teenage girls who were walking on the sidewalk thought that I was waving at them. They waved back. I love Midwest friendliness.

9/ But especially the ones who are down for some random mischief and shenanigans. Because that’s helpful for human connection. And human connection is essential to patient caring. And for knowing which arm to avoid when placing an IV. Yeah.💛 #humanismalways #humanismosiempre

1/ #HumanismAlways, Day 3 Them: “Okay, I’ll dial up a Spanish interpreter while we walk over.” Me: “Oooooh. Can we call for the in-person one instead?” *silence* Me: *starts dialing* “They come quick, I promise.” Them: “No. . . umm. . . it’s fine.” It did not seem fine.

I’m sorry but no one should ever have to use their own accrued time for illness contracted at work. The fact that I only get 5 paid covid days? I GOT IT AT WORK TF.

Took a real taxi for the first time in a while. They are more expensive than Uber, less comfortable, hot, you’ll fear for your well being and end up nauseated with a headache, but by god you will get to your destination faster than you ever thought possible. 10/10

You have a meeting with the CMO of your hospital. You get 1 request and the administration has to make it happen. What is your request? You can’t ask for more money. Anything else is fair game.
