While I am glad they weren’t forced to sell Riot because it would have been bought by the Saudis, Riot should have been forced to make changes. A Chinese company having root access to every PC a game is installed on should not be legal.

@vicious696 I think we’re all on the same page regarding the astronomical unsustainable costs of making a AAA(A) game in todays market. But I also think senior game designers for attempted multiplayer live service titles need to take a real hard look at what they’re trying to accomplish

@Slasher yeah I get that but I was making an overall statement about leadership and the decisions they make on what to greenlight and fund smaller (cheaper) passion projects are one thing but the big AAA it has to make $$$ right away projects are the issue

Highguard wasn't for me and we can debate the whats and the whys for it ending but a high production game and studio closing shop after 45 days IS NOT GOOD Something needs to change and that starts with leadership listening to what players want vs listening to what shareholders want
