Everytime we talk about how stigma never follows men and this is a typical example.
If it was a woman that came back from jail, I'm 💯 sure that nobody will look at her once talk more of twice

@novieverest I never knew there is conjugal visit in nigeria prison
English

@novieverest there's always a woman somewhere ready to have a child/children or accept any kind of man as her husband. No matter what the man did.
It's just so unfortunate that she has a teenage daughter before this pregnancy.
English

And the woman has a daughter
A very young daughter heading into teenage age if I’m not mistaken?
Women are the problem.

The most unsurprising thing I woke up to see today, is news of a popular sexual predator ex-convict, welcoming a child with a successful fashion designer. Women will marry anything, as long as it has a penis.
English

I have a very dicey opinion.
I don’t think it’s an Igbo women thing. There is an entire sect of the culture built around child labor. Like the nwa boy system. The only reason it’s louder amongst the women, is because most of them take female children so the spectrum of harm that can be done is wider.
With the boys, they are first socialized to believe that anything they go through is a sacrifice and that boys don’t speak up so they can become men. That is why a lot of the nwa boys are just happy if the Oga settles them at the end of their time there.
Essentially, I’m saying it’s a cultural issue not necessarily gendered. If it will be solved, it has to be from the roots.

Honestly and genuinely, why do some Igbo women mistreat children who are not their own? Why do some use children as domestic servants? Why does child abuse appear to be so prevalent among some Igbo women?

@Hybrid_Ola It's like it's a norms with lawyera
A lawyer scammed my roomie same way last year
English

A lady is calling out a lawyer over a ₦100k debt
She revealed that the man went to a supermarket and called her friend, saying his bank app was not working and asked her to help him pay the ₦100k bill
She sent him the money because she believed he’s a big boy and trusted that he would pay her back
The guy blocked her

@uceey97 Anywhere you hear house help is been maltreated, just know say na Igbo women.
English

@Smallie2000 @Kasieobi_1 lol 😂 your funny
A man is free to have as many wives and Iko as he desires and can care for in Igbo culture.
English

People saying they’re intentionally doing it to be dragged amuse me. Like, a married man parading another woman on different occasions is content? Haba 😁😁😁beyonce you can do better

CHILD ABUSE OF THE HIGHEST DEGREE:
A couple known as Oga Chelsea and Mrs. Chisom at number 22 James Obinna Street, Minaj Junction, Awada Obosi, Anambra State, allegedly tied their house help with a rope and left him in the bush without food for days after inflicting serious bodily injuries on him. Street members intervened to rescue the small boy, who is less than 10 years old.
Some neighbors complained that this is not the first time a maid has disappeared from the couple. The Anambra State Vigilante group was quickly invited and has taken the suspects to Awada Police Station.
