Okay so how do yall mentally divide pokemon gens?
For me, Gen 1 and 2 are the “originals”
Gens 1 thru 4 are “classic pokemon”
Gens 5 is a weird limbo where it doesn’t feel classic or modern. Feels very unique in its identity
Gens 6-9 are “modern pokemon”

@45mice What a dumb take. Gen 4 is bar far the best generation. Just replayed Diamond 2 weeks ago. Much more engaging and far more fun than leafgreen has been. Sinnoh is literally the best region ever designed. You just like to parrot the dumb Reddit takes about DP being slow

My hot take w/ BDSP was it was actually a decent recreation of Gen 4. It tried to fix issues, it’s just Gen 4 sucks. Terrible dex, slow as hell, awful pacing. ORAS worked as Gen 3 is awesome while Gen 4 is trash at base. Don’t let nostalgia blind you.
