Over the weekend, before Trump endorsed Hilton, @ChadBianco and @SteveHiltonx sat for a debate hosted by @RichardGrenell. 📝 Here are my notes ⬇️ 🐎 Out of the gate, Hilton laid out his vision for working as a team, not only promoting his “running mates” on the Golden Ticket but also pledging to help elect other Republicans all over California and even including Bianco if he ends up being the nominee. No reciprocal promise was made from Bianco. 👮🏼‍♂️ Sheriff Bianco argued that his position as Sheriff (in a Blue County) positions him to drive registration and turnout because Californians are fed up with crime and public corruption. It also gives him experience needed to clean up California the way he cleaned up Riverside County. 🗳️ Hilton discussed how the Voter ID and Save Prop 13 ballot initiatives will drive GOP turnout, the Dem field of candidates is weak, and overall California is reaching its breaking point which is causing non-GOP voters to be ready to make a change. 🥊 They both went after each other more directly than in past forums/debates. 📚 Similar to past debates, Hilton answers questions with specificity, rattling off facts and examples. Bianco does better at this when discussing some topics than past debates, but he also gives rhetorical and simplistic answers, drilling his message with repetition. 🎆 The one area of real fireworks was on immigration. Hilton accused Bianco of being soft on immigration enforcement. Bianco accused Hilton of lying and passionately defended his positions from the POV of local law enforcement. Hilton literally took a paper out of his pocket and read what Bianco said in the past. Bianco insisted the quotes are taken out of context. Major fight. 🔚 In closing statements, Bianco took a swipe at Trump for being taken advantage of in his first term because he was a businessman with no experience in government as a reason why Hilton is not right for the job. He also took sarcastic swipes at Hilton for not living in California for long. 🚨 About 24 hours later, Trump endorsed Hilton. Next televised debate is April 22 at 7pm.

The top two Democrat contenders for California governor are a fat Karen with a history of domestic violence who verbally abuses her interns and a dork with flatulence problems who falls for Chinese honey traps and sexually abuses his interns.
