This whole aspect ratio discussion just reveals how the Nolan team can’t conceive of the movie screen as a canvas which can achieve excellence of composition, but as a replaceable conduit for simple individual moments, one at a time.
I love the look of the 70mm IMAX aspect ratio, but it is a genuine huge problem how completely inaccessible it is. Everyone should be able to see the movie as it was intended
