I like the idea that after Victor made himself into a nemesis type bioweapon, he’s coded to hunt down Umbrella enemies So when he sees Leon, he ends up obsessing over defeating him, which is why he seems to lose focus on Grace (desperate attempt to fill plot holes )

Another random thought, but I think it could have been cool if there were at least sections where Gideon was protecting Grace If you’re forced to rely on him occasionally for safety, it’ll make the eventual giving up and joining him scene have another layer to it
