Today marks 100 years since the birth of Zoltán Hajós! 🇭🇺🧪 A true pioneer of asymmetric organocatalysis, his Hajós-Parrish reaction using L-proline as an enzyme-mimic was decades ahead of its time, laying the foundation for a field later honored with the 2021 Nobel Prize.✨

Our paper on fatigue-resistant dithienylethene photoswitches is now published in @ChemEurJ. Notably, we used a solid, bench-stable Ti(IV)-collidine complex for intramolecular McMurry coupling on gram scales. doi.org/10.1002/chem.2…
