Prof. Lakshmivarahan from University of Oklahoma is visiting our department and lab. He will be giving a short course (8 weeks) on “Mathematics of Bigdata Analytics,” starting January 6. Tuesday & Thursday, 3.30-5 pm. B303, EE, IISc.

Abijith Kamath gave his PhD thesis colloquium today! His thesis is focused on neuromorphic sampling with applications to computational imaging. ⁦@SpectrumLabIISc⁩ ⁦@KamathAbijith⁩

Gave a keynote address at the AI for Healthcare conference in National Institute of Technology Calicut. There was a fantastic Kathakali program on “Dushaasanavadha” in the evening. Very intense! Great art-form from God’s own country!

Harini Kishan, one of my first students (graduated in 2013) had come to visit. She’s presently a Senior Engineer at Apple, Cupertino specialising in displays for Apple products.

Dr. Aniruddha Adiga, research assistant professor from U. Virginia, USA, visited us and gave an interesting talk on “Forecasting Epidemics.” He’s an alumnus of our lab (2018 PhD).
