@CiCiYouLaterTTV If you want, you can read a couple of self-help books to first help train your train of thought to be accepting of compliments/handle affection. If you really need the extra mile, I'm sure therapy will be helpful. But most important, you need time.

I realized that being off the dating market for such a long time has really made it hard for me to even get to know someone. I don't know how to react to the compliments or how to handle the affection. Even if I like the person I feel like I come off distant or uninterested. Like how do you re-train yourself to not be like this? ;-;
