Lloris said that we were playing too far away from each other and I can't help but agree. Led to no options on the ball (which meant we couldn't retain possession for long periods) and put us on the back foot in transitional phases

Poor midfield shape also leads to easy transitional opportunities for Arsenal. Luckily here Hojbjerg is quick to close down Odegaard but these gaps were a problem all half.

Really baffling 4-3-3 yesterday with zero build-up options in midfield. Led to a lot of the early "hoof-ball" we were seeing from Sanchez & Dier. Poor

@THFCChat11 Fair enough, I would agree that he’s inconsistent off the ball. My issue is so many fans getting onto him on a night like this where he’s not done anything wrong other than a couple of needless fouls

@SpursOnly I love the guy but off the ball he is terrible, brilliant on the ball but we have better options now IMO
