$PYPL every week there’s a new post about how cheap PayPal is. Sometimes cheap doesn’t always mean good.
Ask yourself why it’s cheap?
$QQQ is up 21% on the year. $PYPL is down 19% on the year.
What do you think will happen when the market eventually enters another downturn ? I’m 28 and couldn’t tell you the last time I used PayPal. When I was younger it was the sketchy way to buy stuff on eBay and hope you didn’t get scammed. Customer service was brutal. I use Venmo daily and have never paid a single fee or given them an extra penny. I’m using their services for free. Meanwhile, Apple Pay, Google pay, Zelle, Cash App, and others are definitely taking customers. Growth is slowing, transactions per user are down, and new users barely growing.
Cheap doesn’t always mean undervalued, sometimes it just means unwanted. I don’t have a short or long position but just wanted to make a point that sometimes you have to open your eyes. Does anyone feel the same way or just me ?
