I wish I had the time to compile it more but even though mason flirts with Ptol he's actually not the initiator in ANY of the romantic happenings that happens between them. He flirts for fun (as a habit even) BUT PTOL IS THE ONE SETTING UP THE DATES! HES THE ONE WHO PAYS

mason "loves" Ptolemy and flirts with him but I don't think he is meaningfully attracted to him in a romantic sense because his main reasoning for liking Ptol boils down to "gender envy and he's nice to me" which is not indicative of a proper romance basis...
