It’s with a heavy heart that I’ve decided to step away from Restore Britain. Although I love the majority of the policies and putting Britain first, I cannot support another leader doing 180’s and mixed messages. If I wanted that I’d have stuck by Farage. The first straw for me was Rupert or whoever runs his X account congratulating someone who he just wrote an extensive and heart breaking report about, saying that they hid the most heinous crimes. The second is an interview, today where he says he hates ethnonationalists, which by definition is as follows: Ethno-nationalism is a political ideology defining a nation by its shared heritage, which includes common ancestry, language, faith, and cultural traditions. It asserts that a group's national and political identity should be based exclusively on their ethnic background For one, this is what his entire party is based upon. Two, there is nothing wrong with people wanting to keep their heritage, and lineage alive. Although I do not agree that you have to be entirely white British to be in the country, I do believe that the party has pushed this ideology across the board. How can we say “if you’re not a British citizen, you will be deported”, but then claim you hate the people who say that? I’m beyond disappointed in this decision and I respect everyone who continues to support Restore. I’m hoping there is something that changes my mind in the near-future; such as clarification on this interview, but until then I won’t be backing any specific party. I wish Rupert, his team and voters nothing but love, respect and the best. I just cannot continue to support a party where there is no clear vision of what the party stands for.
