It definitely wasn't perfect*, but we look a fit, strong, streetwise Championship team with some quality. *And how exciting is it that we know we have several very good players to come into the matchday squad to hopefully make us even better. Sorba Thomas outstanding. Get in!

@Homzy Just seen Robins interview too - he's bang on, fans, players etc - firmly put his stamp down this transfer window - we are Stoke, he's now got to absolutely prove it with this team we can do a lot better - enthusiastic, but not bed wetting :)

A great start to the season! We largely looked as I expected - strong and competitive but without much threat. That's still true - we mustn't get carried away by those two late goals - but when you work hard and give yourselves a platform, you have a chance. A deserved win.

@Homzy *If* we can get one of Lawal, Junho or Manhoef firing early on one of those "young player confidence seasons", we could cause a bit of trouble - happy with a 10th upwards Homzy - where you sat?

Never a penalty. Joke decision that we’d never have got at the other end. We were crap after the subs, but there’s still no way we deserved to lose that. But we messed up too many good opportunities and that’s football! We’re down there for a reason - we lack a bit of quality.

@Homzy Mate, we were crap - we will probably beat Leeds 3-0 - and the managers going to get it Boxing Day too. We must stay with him, we need a defence that can defend. But isn't this the same story we had last year, or last manager? How come we keep getting this wrong?

I fully agree with all of this - Saturday was rubbish, but it was an outlier in lots of ways. Hopefully we get a performance and result to calm nerves because I remain convinced we have a proper leader in charge now that can move this club forward. But it'll take time.

I'm seeing Jon Walters get a lot of stick, but I massively respect his cajones. How many people thought Schumacher was the right man for us? I certainly didn't. Rather than wait for the inevitable crisis, he's acted decisively. And he's proactively identified a replacement...
