Today, our students learned about Deb Haaland. Haaland made history when she became the first Native American to serve as a cabinet secretary. She is a member of the Pueblo of Laguna and a 35th generation New Mexican.

It’s Native American History, Culture, & Heritage Week at SV! This will bring a celebration of Native American history, culture, and heritage to all of our classes during the week.

We love visiting our friends at Mauzy School. Our band took a special trip over today to play some Halloween tunes. Thank you to Mrs. Ferreira for organizing! 🎶🎃🦁🎵

It’s Hispanic History, Culture, & Heritage Week at SV! This will bring a celebration of Hispanic and Latino history, culture, and heritage to all classes during the week and recognize and honor the significant contributions of Hispanic Americans to all aspects of American life.

Our Go Green Leadership Committee put together some covers for the compost bins in order to inspire students to compost their unwanted fruit and veggies (as opposed to soliciting the crows for a remake of "The Birds".) ♻️ 🦁

School picture day is coming up on 8/30. Students will take their pictures during PE class. #SayCheese 🧀 🦁
