Lake Wylie No Swim Advisory Update: Water samples that were collected on 4/21/26 came back with high bacteria counts so the advisory area has been extended. Staff will continue to collect samples until the results come back at the action levels required to lift the swim advisory.

4/21/26 - A No Swim Advisory has been issued for a cove on Lake Wylie near Old Oleander Drive due to a sewer overflow that is being repaired. Residents and pets should avoid this area until further notice. CMSWS staff are collecting water quality samples to test for bacteria.
