What Is Rivectum? A New Era of Autonomous RWA Allocation on Base Introduction to the Rivectum Protocol Rivectum is an autonomous Real World Asset (RWA) allocation protocol built on Base Sepolia, designed to bring institutional-grade portfolio management logic on-chain without relying on human operators for every decision. At its core, Rivectum is a smart vault specifically an ERC-4626 tokenized vault that accepts USDC deposits and automatically reallocates capital across a curated set of tokenized RWA instruments based on live yield data. The protocol is fully self-sufficient: once deployed and configured, no front-end interaction is required to keep it running. The idea behind Rivectum is simple but powerful. In traditional finance, portfolio rebalancing is a labor-intensive, error-prone process. In DeFi, most vault protocols require manual governance votes or trusted multisigs to adjust allocations. Rivectum replaces both with an autonomous on-chain agent a Bun/TypeScript process that runs a cron loop every five minutes, reads yield signals from a mock RWA oracle, computes an optimal allocation strategy, signs a cryptographic intent, and submits it directly to the vault contract on-chain. What makes Rivectum particularly compelling is its deterministic strategy. The protocol enforces a 60/40 allocation rule: 60% of vault TVL goes to the highest-yielding whitelisted underlying RWA vault, and 40% to the second-best. No single asset can exceed 60% of total capital, limiting concentration risk. All rebalancing decisions are recorded immutably both in an SQLite agent database and on the Base Sepolia blockchain, creating a complete, auditable decision trail. Rivectum is currently live on Base Sepolia testnet. The vault contract is deployed at 0xCe101Df4aaF8613198AEd73C7AfC1A43eA5ACCe8, and you can interact with it today via the live dashboard at app.rivectum.xyz or through the rivectum CLI tool. The rivectum-cli is now fully operational on Base Sepolia testnet. Built on Bun + TypeScript and published at npm install -g rivectum-cli, it gives operators and power users direct terminal access to the RivectumRWA vault no dashboard required. Every interaction with the protocol is available as a typed command: from reading live vault snapshots and rebalance history, to approving USDC, depositing into the ERC-4626 vault, and triggering signed rebalance intents on Base Sepolia . The CLI ships with two namespaces. The agent namespace covers operator functions agent status reads TVL, exchange rate, and agent identity directly from chain; agent decisions queries the SQLite decision log; agent tick runs a full rebalance cycle, dry-run by default and requiring explicit --broadcast --yes to submit a transaction. The user namespace handles depositor flows user preview, user approve, user deposit, and user withdraw all with --json support for scripting and --yes to skip confirmation prompts. For operators running the full stack on a VPS, the agent daemon runs cleanly under PM2 (pm2 start "bun run agent" --name rivectum-agent) with Nginx proxying the Next.js dashboard on port 80. Real World Assets on Base: Why Rivectum Chose Base Sepolia Bridging TradFi Yield Into DeFi Infrastructure Real World Assets tokenized versions of traditional financial instruments like treasury bills, credit instruments, and trade finance represent one of the most significant growth areas in blockchain. By bringing off-chain yield on-chain, RWA protocols let DeFi users earn returns backed by real economic activity rather than speculative token emissions. Rivectum operates specifically on this frontier, treating tokenized RWA vaults as allocatable underlyings and autonomously optimizing capital across them. Base, Coinbase's Ethereum L2 built on the OP Stack, was the natural choice: low transaction costs (critical for a protocol rebalancing every five minutes), Ethereum-equivalent security, and a growing on-chain asset ecosystem. Base Sepolia provides the identical testnet environment giving developers and early users a fully functional playground without real capital at risk. On Base Sepolia, Rivectum uses mock RWA vaults mTBILL and mCREDIT to simulate tokenized treasury bills and credit instruments. The mock oracle feeds simulated APY values to the agent, which computes allocation decisions accordingly. While testnet yields are simulated, the allocation, ECDSA signing, and rebalance execution run exactly as they would in production.
