My mum is in Colchester General with Covid which she contracted whilst in for a fall and hip operation. She’s 83 and her oxygen levels are 60%. The next 24 hours are really the last chance, here she is in the 1970s with my sister. Happier times.

@Royal_Greenwich I find the borough’s interpretation of the Buikding Safety Act very confusing. The BSR is not responsible for remediation works or for oversight of them. Indeed recent case law has made it clearer that main contractors can pursue subcontractors for the costs of remediation. Odd.

Today at @covidinquiryuk, @MattHancock was asked if he knew of any other country in the world that set up a VIP-Lane. He repeatedly refused to answer before saying that VIP-Lanes during pandemics are an 'inevitable part of life'. The answer he was looking for was no.

Matt Hancock describes promoting a PPE offer from his pub landlord, Mr Bourne, as 'impeccable behaviour'. Mr Bourne was awarded a £40m contract. He then subcontracted out the work. Fortunately for Mr Bourne, @covidinquiryuk has chosen not hear evidence from any Suppliers.
