Let me explain this:
Democrats are holding TSA employees hostage because they want to reform ICE so that illegal immigrants are protected. However, ICE is already funded, so their only leverage is to hijack the pay for TSA employees.
Their 10 attempts to fund TSA all amount to one thing:
Give the Democrats the ability to gut ICE enforcement, and they will fund the TSA.
That is it.
Because Democrats are the minority party and they do not have the votes to change how ICE operates, they are using strong-arm tactics to force their will on our country.
Like schoolyard bullies, they are withholding the lunch money from people who have nothing to do with them.
Chuck Schumer@SenSchumer
Senate Republicans have now blocked TSA funding 9 times. They are solely responsible for the chaos travelers are experiencing. We welcome them to join Democrats at the table any time to fund TSA and restore order to our airports.

This morning, Apple News put Politico’s full-screen image of Chuck Schumer with a sign claiming Republicans blocked TSA funding “8 times” in front of its reportedly 125 million users.
Republicans in the Senate need to get real about what sport they’re playing. They don’t have a messaging problem. They have a distribution problem. When polling suggests Republicans are to blame for TSA lines, this distribution bias is why.
So the current reality is this:
1. One side controls mass information distribution
2. The other side is constraining itself by the supermajority rules
3. 100+ million Americans are seeing one version of the story
This mismatch is not sustainable, politically.
Democrats do not care about election security, TSA lines or homeland defense, and they simply don’t need to. Apple does the work for them.
Senate Republicans could fold like they normally do or they could change the Senate rules to allow for up-or down simple majority votes on national security and election security legislation.
The latter is fast becoming their only option out of this.

@MikeLevin How I look at this is "These people are not our allies, and likely never have been, or at least haven't been for a very, very long time".
Not the take you want people to draw, but the take that seems most accurate.

This is truly insane, and it should be front page news across America.
Denmark secretly deployed soldiers to Greenland prepared to blow up airport runways to stop a U.S. invasion.
They brought blood supplies to treat the wounded. France, Germany, Norway, and Sweden quietly coordinated against us.
This was not a drill.
This was our closest allies preparing to fight Americans.
Let that sink in. NATO allies. Countries whose soldiers have fought and died alongside ours for decades. They looked at this president and decided they had to prepare for the worst.
Fewer allies does not make America great. It makes us more isolated, more vulnerable, and it hands Russia and China exactly what they have always wanted: an America abandoned by its friends.
The American people deserve to know how badly this president has damaged our standing in the world. bbc.com/news/articles/…

If we don't get out and vote in these upcoming elections, even in the smallest of elections, then Democrats are going to gain a majority and a foothold in our country and we've all seen how they operate. We don't want that happening.
I know, it's discouraging to have to get out and vote for people that are right now actively showing us their complete and utter contempt for us, but it's a lot better than the alternative.

Are federal law enforcement officers "federal troops"?
law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18…
"Whoever, being an officer of the Army or Navy, or other person in the civil, military, or naval service of the United States, orders, brings, keeps, or has under his authority or control any troops or armed men at any place where a general or special election is held, unless such force be necessary to repel armed enemies of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both; and be disqualified from holding any office of honor, profit, or trust under the United States.
This section shall not prevent any officer or member of the armed forces of the United States from exercising the right of suffrage in any election district to which he may belong, if otherwise qualified according to the laws of the State in which he offers to vote."
...maybe if you're referencing "the civil...service of the United States", but I'm not sure if ICE is civil service or not. Further, the prohibition is on "troops or armed men". As ICE are not troops, if they aren't armed, this prohibition wouldn't apply anyway.
Maybe read the laws before stating what you think they mean?

🚨 JUST IN: Sen. Mike Lee exposes Senate Democrats after ALL 47 OF THEM voted AGAINST basic, simple photo voter ID
"This was a SCALED DOWN version of the SAVE America Act, one that requires only a photo ID at the time and place of voting, and omits the proof of citizenship requirements."
"Even THAT was something that every single Democrat in the Senate voted against!"
"Now, think about it this way. Two years ago, every Senate Democrat supported a bill that contained a voter ID requirement. What changed? Why are they doing this?!"
Fraud.

@alyssamariiee11 The Islamic Republic is left with these allies: the UN and the Democrats (and the UK and France behind the scenes).
Iran and the Iranian people have the best allies, Israel and President Trump’s administration.

You get a like, retweet, and follow from me, good sir. VERY well said.
Democrats do this every time.
They do it...because it works. A lot of uninformed, less informed, or weak kneed people fall for it, and it gives their far left base ammo to prattle on about in social media.
If it didn't work, they wouldn't do it.
The question is, will it work this time......and though I'm not certain, I feel that something is different this time.

I AM LIVING IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE — AND THE DEMOCRATS ARE WRITING THE SCRIPT
I have a confession.
I have been doing this — writing, posting, arguing, educating — for over a year now. Over 51,000 posts. I have seen a LOT. I have watched Hakeem Jeffries (@RepJeffries) hold up a giant letter of the alphabet like a kindergarten teacher who wandered into a Speaker's podium. I have watched Adam Schiff read fabricated phone call transcripts into the Congressional Record — on the record, in the United States Congress — and then explain with a straight face that it was "parody." I have seen things.
But this week? This week broke something in me.
Not in a sad way. In a "am I being pranked?" way.
--- LET ME EXPLAIN WHAT JUST HAPPENED ---
Democrats refused to fully fund DHS. That includes TSA. You know — the people standing between your grandma and her carry-on and the security checkpoint. Congress controls that funding. Article I. Section 8. That is not my opinion, that is the DOCUMENT. The Constitution they claim to love so much it hurts.
So the lines built. People missed flights. Airports started looking like the DMV on the last day of the month. TSA call-out rates at JFK hit FORTY-FOUR PERCENT. And who do Democrats blame?
Donald Trump.
The man who does not write the budget. The man who is not in Congress. The man whose job under Article II is to EXECUTE the laws, not write the checks. But sure. Him.
Now here is where I started looking around for Rod Serling.
ICE is funded. The same CR that left TSA short? ICE went through. So the president — and I want you to really absorb this — USED THE FUNDED AGENCY to fill the gap left by the unfunded one. Lines dropped. Average wait at Hartsfield-Jackson in Atlanta fell under 40 minutes. Travelers were making their flights. Problem mostly solved.
The Democrats are FURIOUS.
No — really. Furious. That the lines got shorter. That people made their flights. That the plan to strand Americans in airport terminals and blame Trump for the chaos... did not work.
Quinn's Law Number 1: liberalism always generates the exact opposite of its stated intent. Every. Single. Time.
--- THEN CORY BOOKER SHOWED UP ---
Senator Cory Booker sprinted — physically ran — to an airport. Not to help. Not to push a funding solution through the Senate he sits in. No. He ran to a camera to deliver an impassioned speech about how ICE... is bad... at an airport where the lines just got shorter.
He did not mention Stephanie Mentor. He did not mention a single American family torn apart by criminal illegal aliens who were here because the border was left open for four years under Biden's Autopen.
He mentioned ICE. The agency that just helped people catch their flights. That one.
I want to be very precise here because precision matters: Senator Booker, you had the power to fund TSA. You sit in the building where that happens. You chose not to. The lines built because of YOUR inaction. The lines shrank because someone used available resources to compensate for YOUR inaction. And you are angry about the shrinking.
That is not a political disagreement. That is a man being upset that his plan to hurt people failed.
--- HERE IS THE PART THAT SHOULD MAKE YOUR BLOOD BOIL ---
This is not new. I need you to understand that.
Barack Obama. Government shutdown. Open-air monuments — places with NO roofs, NO staff, NO maintenance costs — were physically barricaded. They put CONES on freeway pulloffs so you could not even slow down on the highway to look at Mount Rushmore through your car window. No operational reason. None. The only purpose was to make the pain of a government shutdown as visible and miserable as possible, so the political blame would land on Republicans.
They spent money — actual taxpayer money and actual federal manpower — to make sure you suffered enough to demand the Democrats get what they wanted.
They did not hate conservatives. They hated you. Regular Americans. Using you as leverage.
Different year. Same party. Same play.
And here we are again. Same script. Different airport.
--- THE CODE PINK EPILOGUE ---
I almost did not include this part because I was not sure anyone would believe it.
The protesters who showed up OUTSIDE the Atlanta airport to rage against ICE — including Code Pink, the professional agitators — subsequently went on vacation. To Cuba. A communist country. Stayed in government hotels while actual Cuban citizens live without consistent electricity, cannot speak freely, and cannot leave.
These are the people who were just screaming about oppression at the airport where the wait time fell under 40 minutes.
I genuinely have run out of words. I tried to find them. They are not available.
--- THE BOTTOM LINE, AND I MEAN IT ---
The Democrats will not fund TSA. That is a choice they made. Congress controls the purse — Article I, Section 8 — and if you want to be angry at someone for the airport chaos, start THERE.
The president used the resources available. It worked. Democrats raged.
That is the whole story. I know it sounds too absurd to be real. I know it sounds like I am exaggerating for effect. I am a science teacher — exaggerating for effect is not actually my thing. Exaggerating for effect is what you do when you do not have the facts. I have the facts. Which is why I do not need to exaggerate anything.
They do not want a solution. They want you scared, stranded, suffering, and looking to the government — specifically THEIR version of the government — as your only possible source of relief.
That is the play. It has always been the play. And the only reason I am this angry about it is because it keeps working on people who do not know to look for it.
Now you know. Look for it.
But what do I know — I am only a science teacher and former Army combat medic who, unlike most of the people causing this mess, actually reads Article I before forming an opinion about who controls the budget.

A word to the wise:
Democrats will gladly trade your life for a vote from an illegal alien.
These treasonous pieces of shit don't give a single fuck about American citizens.
They're more than happy to let you bleed out if it means securing one more ballot from someone who shouldn't even be here.
Remember that when you go to vote.

Conservatives have this sort of fetish for total political suicide because they’ve all been brought up to view the actual exercise of power with tyranny, which is the very thing they’re all struggling against.
They’ve become almost totally attached on an emotional level to the act of resisting power rather than wielding it. The modern Right WANTS to be the embattled and doomed rebel faction rather than face the responsibility of ruling.
As long as we are losing, we can imagine ourselves to be principled. We get to LARP as Cato the Younger. But the moment power is actually available to us, everything becomes unbearable and we crash out for a multitude of reasons.
Now we have to decide who is in and who is out, what institutions have to be demolished, what laws have to be abolished, and what enemies have to be destroyed. We also have to decide what costs are worth bearing to make it all happen.
And when those type of questions pop up in a very real way, many on the Right just completely self-sabotage themselves because there’s never been a scenario in their minds where their side ever gets to win and has to rule.
