@Sumo_1973 @Pivot2Centre They have to improve their skill set and breed what they can feed. Companies are literally laying off employees and moving to automation, this stupid logic reminds me of movie naya daur where they don't want machines in the factories as it will eat up jobs of villagers.

I can’t stress this enough 1. Buy a dishwasher. Almost 80% of the utensils can be managed by the dishwasher. Only cooker, and few items require hand wash 2. Buy a Romba. The one with mopping capabilities 3. Buy a dryer along with washer You don’t need a maid. Once you don’t need a maid, your life will be much more flexible- you day won’t revolve around her timings. You can literally automate 70% of the work she does and you can get several hours back. Just hire someone from Urban company to do deep cleaning once a week or 2 weeks.

🍁 ARMY GENERAL WHO DEFIED PRIME MINISTER:🍁 The year was 1959, the place was Amritsar. Some Indian Army officers and their wives went to Railway station to see off one of their colleagues. Some goons made lewd remarks against the women and try to molest them. The Army officers chased the goons who took shelter in a nearby Cinema Theatre. The matter had been reported to commanding officer " Col Jyothi Mohan Sen" . On learning about the incident, the Col ordered the Cinema Hall to be surrounded by troops. All the goons were dragged out and the leader of the goons was so heady and drunk with power; who was none other than the son of Honourable Chief Minister of Punjab, Pratap Singh Kairon, the close associate of the then Prime Minister, Jawahar Lal Nehru. All the goons were stripped to their underwares, paraded in the streets of Amritsar and later interned in the cantonment. Next day, the Chief Minister became furious and tried to release his son from Indian Army's incarceration. You know what happened? His vehicle was not allowed to go in to the cantonment as VIP vehicle, he was compelled to walk all the way to meet the colonel. The infuriated Chief Minister, Kairon complained about whole affair to Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Those days were different, democracy was in nascent stage, leaders though powerful have some qualms and ethics. The perplexed, Prime Minister Nehru instead of questioning his confidante Pratap Singh Kairon, sought explanation from the Army Chief General Timmayya for the conduct of his officers. You know what Thimmayya replied? "If we can not defend the honour of our women, how can you expect us to defend the honour of our country?" Nehru was dumbfounded. It is incredibly tough to build wealth in India. Not only you are taxed thrice. But, no one supports you if you lose your job. You are basically a cow, who is useful till it gives milk. All this is: IF you get a good job to begin with. Try starting a business-- the "unease of doing a business" will make you quit that business. If somehow you work through these barriers and build a corpus: then your investment options are limited. You can't invest abroad, take leverage etc. It is as if you are a criminal for even thinking about investing abroad. So you have no choice but to become a forced investor in India. Then you juggle currency depreciation, limited investment options and constant noise of "SIP karte raho" from people who would sell India. But, move their own portfolio abroad [yes, Coffee Can, you!] Is India the worst? No, not at all. There are far worse destinations. India is full of opportunities. But here your timing matters more. Example: If you picked a job in IT 30 years ago, you had it good. If you started 5 years ago, you are screwed. Same applies to investing. If you have no understanding of valuations: just buy land and gold. SIP returns (if you see on currency adjusted basis) will shock you. Don't do it. It will kill your joy.
