The problem now is that both Russian oil and Iranian crude is not priced in USD so why should USD/INR matter to India. I would only look at CNY/INR pair because India now runs a USD equivalent 100 billion trade deficit with China... So CNY is slowly becoming more important for India than USD... and Indian imports are really becoming costly because of depreciation in INR vs CNY which is more than INR vs USD.

Dollar millionaire is one common yardstick used by finance community across the world to denote a wealthy person. I know many who are working towards it. Someone started with a goal of Rs 5 crore (1 USD = Rs.50) 15 years ago, suddenly realise that despite reaching Rs.5 crores now, he is only half way through. Now you need Rs.9.4 crores (1 USD = Rs.94) to be called a dollar millionaire. Becoming wealthy on global yardstick is becoming more and more difficult.

This is the only call you have to make if you want to invest in this "Brave new world" as per BOFA The Biggest Picture: long view… new world order = new world bull; we say international stocks outperform US H2'2020s RoW 38% share of $97tn global stock market cap (vs US 62% – Chart 2) to rise further on fiscal excess, populism, end of deflation… plus AI disruption more labor market (see Block) and/or corporate revenue negative to services-heavy US GDP & SPX index than manufacturing/resource-heavy EAFE/EM macro & equity indices. Just extending the argument to India I would go the extent of saying this is true to a large extent for India also which whose benchmarks are now overloaded with services which can be disrupted really fast…just like US, money in India will also be made outside the benchmarks.
