@Scott60846117 @GovKathyHochul At $600 per out-of-area visitor, 10,000 visitors = $6 MM/ yr. Investment returned in 2 yrs, even with our lowest attendance estimates. Our zip code is over 39% in poverty, one of the highest in the state; bringing tourism $ improves the local economy, adds jobs, quality of life.

@GovKathyHochul @SusanBHouse $10 million investment and what is the return? That's what I thought. More waste of taxpayer money. Imagine how the state would be if you spent our money on worthwhile causes? Much better than you are making it.

I’ve been to the @SusanBHouse many times over the years & I know what a special place it is. Our $10 million investment in the expansion of this historic home will allow more people visit & learn about the legacy of this champion for equality & Rochester native!

@JTGibbons @GovKathyHochul Anthony never took a stand to criminalize abortion; it was legal much of her life. It's true she cited abortion as a symptom of societal ills (e.g. when a woman aborted because she couldn't feed a child, or because she had been raped). Anthony believed in sovereignty of self.

This is a rare, significant cultural investment in an undeserved community. It will have direct impact on our neighborhood economy and our community's quality of life.

Classes are over crowded that money was wasted if you ask me. We have ppl in poverty and homeless. No justification for this

@Badgurl585 @GovKathyHochul Experiential education is powerful, and our children deserve more of it. We are only able to accommodate a fraction of the classes that want to come. This interpretive center will allow us to provide educational programs for all school groups that want to come.

@GovKathyHochul @SusanBHouse Wow meanwhile our school system sucks. That money could have went to helping provide a better education for our kids. Assist the teachers and teacher aides. As staff is down what a waste of money. 10 million could have been split amongst different organizations.

This is a great strategy for the state to leverage a popular cultural asset to draw tourism dollars, without taking on the responsibility or burden of future operating costs.
