Afghan Park Rapist Jailed In Nuneaton. An Afghan asylum seeker who had been in Britain for just four months was today jailed for 15 years after he abducted and raped a 12 year old girl. Ahmad Mulakhil, 23, spotted the schoolgirl playing on swings in a Nuneaton park on 22 July 2025 before luring her away and attacking her in a nearby residential cul-de-sac. Mulakhil filmed the attack on his mobile phone as the victim screamed for help. Prosecutors described it as a targeted attack that lasted around one hour and 18 minutes. The court heard horrifying details of how Mulakhil targeted the 12 year old girl after spotting her in the park. He led her to a secluded spot where he carried out the extremely horrific sexual offences, with the victim later telling police the attacker was laughing throughout while she pleaded with him to stop. Mulakhil denied most of the charges at the start of the 10 day trial but changed his plea on one rape count midway through proceedings last November. Today, Judge Kristina Montgomery KC sentenced him to a 15 year prison sentence with an extended licence period. He has also been served with deportation papers and will be liable for removal from the UK once he has served his time. The cost of housing Ahmad Mulakhil for his 15 year sentence? £849,000. His co-defendant, fellow Afghan asylum seeker Mohammad Kabir, 24, was acquitted by the jury of all charges, including intentional strangulation, attempted child abduction and committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence, after maintaining he never touched the girl and had no sexual intentions towards her.
