Reading about Bangor University & debating societies & “lefty indoctrination”…. I feel I missed out going to Leeds University. I don’t recall ever being indoctrinated and I don’t think anyone I knew was ever indoctrinated either. Almost as if we could make our own minds up.

I hate this way of using the word shop in advertising. The latest, in an email from Man United. “Shop the Stone Roses” Why? What have they done?

Just had a robin fly into the house, sit perched on the bannister for a few minutes, fly around the spare bedroom, pause just a foot away from me for a minute, and then fly out through a window I opened for it.

Was on phone to me dad & told him I’d had earache like no-one ever before, and that he wouldn’t know pain like it. Then remembered he’s had several cancers, numerous treatments (including having half of his face “ripped off” to remove tumours), and was in hospital three months.

@Swiffin It's also entirely untrue. The image used is cropped to leave out a store display that literally says "Merry Christmas". And, predictably, the usual suspects have all piled on with the same false claim today.

Went to #Nottingham this morning. Swear that lion move.

Been up to South Yorkshire today and half-expected to see dots in the country lanes and to be followed by ghosts. (One for the 80s kids there).

How times change. After a service today, I went to the wake which was held at a care home where the gentleman lived. This site is where I had my first job - when it was home to @ChadNews. The building is long gone and papers (& how they are run) are so different these days).
