Good Friday marks a time of reflection for many, and for us, it is also a reminder of the responsibility we carry. Throughout this long weekend, our members will be out in full service to the community. Visible, responsive, and committed to public safety. With the support of our Police Service Board and the dedication of our sworn officers and police professionals, we continue to deliver on that responsibility. This is what professionalism looks like. This is what service looks like. 🇨🇦

Not all online connections are what they seem. 💔 Romance scams happen when someone builds trust and emotional connection, only to ask for money, gifts, or personal information. Watch our video to learn the warning signs and how to protect yourself. 🚔Stay safe, stay vigilant, and always report instances of fraud. #LdnOnt #KNOwFraud

The London Police Service Community Policing Section hosted a Sikh 101 session today, and what an incredible turnout! The room was full for this engaging and insightful opportunity to learn more about the Sikh faith, culture, and lived experiences. Sessions like these are so important. 🙌 They help build cultural awareness, strengthen relationships, and support more informed, respectful, and inclusive interactions across our workplace and the community we serve. #LdnOnt

Buckle up! 🚔 April is Seat Belt Safety Month. Seat belts save lives every single day. Their life-saving impact cannot be overstated. Before every trip, make sure every passenger, every time is properly buckled up. Drivers: take a moment before you hit the road to ensure everyone in your vehicle is secured. In Ontario, drivers are responsible for making sure passengers 16 and under are properly restrained in a seat belt or appropriate child car/booster seat. If convicted of not wearing a seat belt, you could face fines between $200 and $1,000 and receive two demerit points. Safety tips to remember: ✔️ One seat belt per person. No exceptions ✔️Position the lap belt low across the hips, not the stomach ✔️Keep the shoulder strap across the chest and shoulder, never under the arm ✔️Remove any slack for a snug, secure fit ✔️Ensure children are in the correct car seat or booster for their size Parents and caregivers, be a role model. 💺 Children are more likely to buckle up when they see you doing the same. Stay safe on the roads, #LdnOnt.

The London Polar Plunge in support of Special Olympics Ontario was a splashing success! 🌊❄️ Chief Thai Truong, CAO Roger Ramkissoon, Deputy Chiefs Bastien, Guilford and MacSween, LPS members, community partners, and Londoners took the plunge, braving cold water in the pouring rain and chilly temperatures—all for an incredible cause. 250 plungers were #FreezinForAReason! Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone involved, $63,000 was raised in support of Special Olympics athletes. 👏 What an amazing show of community spirit and support! 💙 #LdnOnt

Last night, the London Police Service proudly hosted the 15th annual Lewis Coray Trailblazer Awards Evening, celebrating trailblazing Black youth who are making a powerful impact in our community. 💙 We came together to recognize this year’s Trailblazer Award recipients, Arielle, Artnell, and Ny’Asia, three young leaders who are setting a remarkable example for other youth. 🏆 Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition. We were honoured to welcome keynote speaker George McCauley, who shared powerful words that helped us reflect, celebrate, and recognize the importance of Black History Month. 🙌We were also privileged to have the Coray family in attendance as we continue the legacy of Lewis ‘Bud’ Coray, the first Black officer to serve with the London Police Service. His legacy lives on through the incredible young leaders we celebrated last night. Thank you to the London Police Association and the London Police Service Board for supporting this meaningful event and thank you to everyone who joined us. Together, we celebrated leadership, we honoured legacy, and we continued to build a stronger London. 👏 #LdnOnt #BlackHistoryMonth
