A fourth Canadian provincial lottery has joined the Supreme Court appeal against the idea of Ontario being allowed to take peer-to-peer iGaming play across borders. Meanwhile, poker giants Flutter and NSUS have bitten back against the lotteries' claims. canadiangamingbusiness.com/2026/04/08/lot…

PrizePicks can now use NBA intellectual property like logos and some player likenesses for its DFS products. The NBA has made PrizePicks an Official Daily Fantasy Sports Partner, an agreement that also allows for "co-marketing efforts" on NBA platforms. sbcamericas.com/2026/04/07/nba…

When Michael Selig said “we’ll see you in court”, he wasn’t kidding. The CFTC has sued three states in federal court in an attempt to "safeguard its exclusive regulatory authority" and defend prediction markets against "overzealous state regulators." sbcamericas.com/2026/04/02/ctf…

The CSA emphasizes that in some Canadian provinces, there is an explicit ban on any "advertising, offering, selling or otherwise trading" of binary options that have a term to maturity of (i.e. resolve within) less than 30 days. "Failure to comply ... may lead to enforcement."

Another great example of the fact that just because something is "banned", as Polymarket currently is in Ontario, it doesn't mean it's not still there. On a related note, prediction markets steam is gathering in Canada (albeit without sports or politics) canadiangamingbusiness.com/2026/03/31/can…

Exactly as happened in Massachusetts in September, Kalshi partner Robinhood has sued Washington State officials in federal court immediately after the state sued Kalshi in state court. Robinhood feels it faces "a concrete and imminent threat" from WA. sbcamericas.com/2026/04/01/rob…

A note from one of the bill's sponsors: "We do not have a clear ability to regulate [prediction markets] at the state level right now… and so we have not taken a direct regulatory action in this." Says that could change, based on federal rule changes or ultimate court rulings.
