*Lord Lieutenants Cadet Announcement* It is with great pride and pleasure I can announce that Cpl Hamilton has been nominated as Lord Lieutenants Cadet Dundee for 2026. Yet again Dundee Detachment aboard T.S. Duncan leading the way and displaying the Royal Marines Corps Values

We sent a Minibus ashore for our newer cadets so they could visit @HMSQNLZ this evening. Massive thanks to the crew for allowing us aboard and showing us around. An absolute wonder of engineering and it's hard to fathom the size of her until you step into the hangar!

This week HMS DUNCAN marks a change of Command. We thank Cdr Lee for his leadership, dedication and commitment to the Ship’s Company. We welcome Cdr Mitchell, who now assumes Command as Duncan continues her maintenance to prepare for future tasking. #HMSDuncan #RoyalNavy

We are so honoured to be running the parade in Dundee again this year. Then to be told that the RM Band and HMS Duncan offered assistance..... Will make this 80th anniversary Year of VE & VJ that even more special for the People of Dundee.

The flags are flying onboard DUNCAN—can you work out what they mean? 🧐 Naval signal flags have been used for centuries to send messages at sea—especially before modern comms. Today, we fly them for tradition, morale and a bit of fun. What’s your best guess?

We were ver lucky to get on board to visit the FGS Sachsen last night as she is alongside in Dundee. She is very formidable for a Frigate and is more like our type 45s. The Lieutenant that gave us a tour was very kind and it demonstrates the bond NATO allies have with each other.

Congratulations to Cadet Sergeant Saul on his promotion today after a very hard Sgts Board. Only 16 and is the first Sea Lord Cadet, Lord Lieutenants cadet and now passed his Sgts all in one year..... #Hooofing
