NOW (midday Monday) is a very good time to do some snow and ice removal ❄️🧊 Temperatures in the 20s — even near 30 in some areas — are about as mild as it will get all week. Just as important: we have some sun. If you’ve already shoveled down to pavement, a light application of salt or ice melt should be very effective at preventing refreeze. If you haven’t shoveled yet, you may want to — unless you’re not planning to at all. TONIGHT: temperatures tumble into the single digits and everything freezes into cement 🥶 It’s going to get harder and harder to remove this, and this could become one of the longest cold spells in history. If you’re going to do it, now is the time. Get to work.
