🔘 May 1 price increase for non-alcoholic sugary drinks Manufacturers Wisynco and GraceKennedy Limited have advised that as of May 1, 2026, consumers will be paying more for non-alcoholic sweetened beverages. The price increase coincides with the new tax on sugary drinks announced by Finance Minister @fayvalwilliams in the recent Budget Debate. ▫️Wisynco has published a chart of its non-alcoholic sweetened drinks indicating that they will each be going up by around 13 per cent. This means for every $100 there will be an additional $13 charge. ▫️The Lakes Pen, St Catherine-based company says the price increase also takes into account rising costs for raw material and an increase in the environmental levy. ▫️GraceKennedy has advised that the prices of its non-alcoholic sweetened beverages will go up by 9 per cent.
