It confirms what we knew what happen: Nationally, home values have risen at twice the rate below the scheme price caps as above it. In Melbourne and Sydney, home values have actually fallen above the price caps, but risen below them. In other states with positive growth overall, it’s amplified the rise in home values. This scheme has done what it was intended to do - push up house prices further.
