@DoakShannon @MrZachG @CoraEdTech @ISTEofficial I used @ISTEofficial standards to redesign our tech curriculum, and it's a great foundation for tech. I suppose my real question is how can admin support and empower educators. Where are those principles?

@Techned1 @MrZachG @CoraEdTech Hmm you raise an important point. I think @ISTEofficial is trying something like this with their #teacher and #admin #standards. I don't know how many schools actually use them.

Schools have a vision and set of principles for our students. We all know them, and strive to get our students to work towards them. Yet, I have yet to see a set of principles/vision for teachers. Am I missing something? Thoughts @DoakShannon @MrZachG @CoraEdTech ?

A shift away from our content-heavy, grade-focused system is in my opinion a need to meet societal demands.

We should holistically shift our thinking about this tech into one that focuses on solving real problems and currently exist and predicting those that don't. Let's leverage current platforms and build upon those.

We need to move beyond Substitution and Augmentation to Modification and Redefinition if we really want to see a difference. The T3 Model is also a great way to help. So far, too much in the Translational area.
