Ever heard of the Emerald Cockroach Wasp? 🐝 Yeah me neither. When I saw one at the farm, I looked him up 👀 Ok this is nuts. The wasp paralyzes the cockroach, brings it back to her nest. Lays eggs on the cockroach. Then when the eggs hatch, the larva crawls into the cockroach and uses it like a cocoon and emerges with wings 🪽

Here’s the worldwide, clean, Digital debut of @espn’s @E60 masterpiece, “Unrivaled.” @Avalanche/@DetroitRedWings was the @ufc on ice. The fiercest rivalry in hockey history like you’ve never seen before. This trailer is so powerful it made my eyes wet by the last 20 seconds.

NHL Alumni@NHLAlumni

The NHL Alumni Association is devastated to share that Claude Lemieux has passed away at the age of 60. Born in Buckingham, Quebec, Claude was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft and would make his NHL debut just a few months later on October 13, 1983 and scored his first career NHL goal on December 4, 1983. Claude split time between the Canadiens organization and the QMJHL from 1983 to 1985, capturing the President’s Cup with the Verdun Junior Canadiens in 1985 as QMJHL playoff champions, while earning the Guy Lafleur Trophy as Playoff MVP. The very next season, Claude recorded 10 goals and 16 points in 20 playoff games as he and the Montreal Canadiens won the Stanley Cup. Claude remained with the Canadiens for an additional four seasons before joining the New Jersey Devils ahead of the 1990-91 season. In 1994-95, his fifth and final season with New Jersey, Claude led the Devils to their first Stanley Cup championship, registering 13 goals in 20 playoff games, taking home the Conn Smythe Trophy as Playoff MVP. As a member of the Colorado Avalanche in 1995-96, Claude was once again an integral part of team history as the Avalanche hoisted Lord Stanley’s Cup for the very first time in 1996. Claude played 297 regular-season games in an Avalanche uniform before rejoining the New Jersey Devils in November of 1999, and for a fourth and final time, would be crowned a Stanley Cup champion on June 10, 2000. Claude later played for the Phoenix Coyotes and Dallas Stars before making a comeback with the San Jose Sharks during the 2008-09 season. Internationally, Claude represented Canada on several occasions, including capturing a gold medal at the 1985 World Junior Hockey Championships and winning the 1987 Canada Cup. He was loved by his wife and four children, and on behalf of the Lemieux family, we kindly ask that everyone respect their privacy during this difficult time. Memorial service details to follow.

Like all of the falling apart plantation style Lāna‘I City homes that are listed insanely high now. 💸💸💸 Someone should do a series about the houses for sale. You know on the island where enough people live in poverty that the entire public school qualifies for free lunch (an entire school only qualifies when most people are living below poverty.) Meanwhile Lāna‘i families have been rapidly priced out of homes (rentals too) and now hui up with 3 generations piled into 2 bedrooms and sharing one bathroom. Oh did I say 3 generations? I meant a 2 families with 3 generations each … sharing 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Here’s some classy samples of what being a millionaire can snag you in Lāna‘i City now. Would make a good YouTube series. Houses get more and more outdated, the more you scroll through listing pics.

Murdock sold Lāna‘i island for 2 shillings to Ellison and now Murdock’s trying to sell his outdated honey stained cabinet house on a postage stamp sized lot for $17m. Well played.

If men can cum and walk away with zero consequences, women should be able to abort and do the same. You don’t get to leave your DNA in someone’s body and then demand they carry the consequences for 9 months + 18 years....

I added an O'ahu ʻŌʻō to one of my bedtime story books. It later became my son’s fave book. So here’s a true story. My son was speech delayed and at 3 he still wasn’t talking. But he had one word: ʻŌʻō He would say ʻŌʻō and bring me the book to read. Then he learned mo'o (gecko) and I figured out he could say Hawaiian words bc they have more vowels than consonants. So we put together a scrap book of animals and their Hawaiian names. That simple scrap book later became a baby board book: “Absolutely Awesome Island Animals” And no, the myth that once he learns a couple of words … the rest will come tumbling out is just not true. Can’t tell you how many ppl said that to me. Some kids just take it all in and have no words for a very long time. But they find other ways to communicate. We used sign language. And we also worked with the amazing team at IMUA who did speech therapy with Coop for years. When he eventually started talking, he inexplicably had a British accent for years. 😁 a.co/d/0317cyT8

spencerlee808 on instagram snaps gorgeous pics of native birds in Hawai'i and also creates AI videos of extinct birds. The AI video of O'ahu ʻŌʻō is a honeyeater and one of my fave birds. Sadly extinct, and last seen in 1837. The Hawaiʻi ʻŌʻō was last spotted on Big Island in 1902, but its song was last heard in 1930. The Kauaʻi ʻŌʻō final mating call was last recorded in 1987. A solitary male was recorded singing for a mate who would never come. The lone male sang a duet, pausing for a female to respond. You can hear the actual 1987 haunting recording here share.google/ZHfbnWnOPGKNEQ… You can check out Spencer’s very cool insta acct with very cool pics of island birds here: instagram.com/p/DQKMsTAjn46/…
