Elon Musk on working at Tesla: “Many people at Tesla have gone from working on the line to being in senior management. There are no lords and peasants. Everyone eats at the same table. Everyone parks in the same parking lot. At GM, there's a special elevator only for senior executives. We have no such thing at Tesla.”

Retail investors bought $118 million of SpaceX stock on IPO day. The biggest individual investor participation in any IPO in recent history. 30% allocated to retail before trading. $118 million more on day one. Elon wanted individual investors in. They showed up.

Elon Musk: "I think what’s most important in training AI and in growing an AI is to make sure that it is as truthful as possible and maximally curious Because I think if that's true, then it'll probably foster humanity. But it's very important that AI be trained to be honest even if that truth is unpopular"

Elon Musk predicts a future where humanoid robots outnumber humans 2:1 or even 3:1: "I think the humanoid robot opportunity is the single biggest opportunity ever. I think the ratio of humanoid robots to humans is gonna be at least two-to-one, maybe three-to-one, cause everybody will want one and then there'll be a bunch of robots that will be making goods and services."

Elon Musk on universal basic income coming from AI future: "Mass unemployment will be a massive social challenge. Ultimately, we'll have no choice but to adopt some form of universal basic income" "There will be fewer and fewer jobs that a robot cannot do better"

Elon Musk on why Tesla exists and the core mission behind electric cars: ”Why does Tesla exist? Why are we making electric cars? Why does it matter? It's because it's very important to accelerate the transition to sustainable transport. And this is really important for the future of the world."

Elon explains why the Tesla Semi is so much more energy efficient than any diesel truck: “I’d certainly encourage people to look at our semi truck presentation Because one of the things we emphasize with an electric semi truck is that it’s, it’s much more energy efficient than a diesel truck.  You get things like regenerative braking. So like, let’s say you’re going over a mountain range In diesel truck, you have to actually spend a lot of money on expensive brakes going down the other side so you don’t run out of control, whereas an electric semi truck, is able to recapture the gravitational potential energy, and, when it goes down the other side, it does not overheat the brakes and in fact puts the energy back in the pack.  So, things like that are incredibly helpful for energy efficiency."

Elon Musk on what Nelson Mandela actually stood for and how South Africa has completely lost that "The vision that Nelson Mandela, a remarkable leader, proposed was for all races to coexist equally in South Africa. Currently, there are around 140 laws that preferentially benefit Black South Africans over others"

Elon Musk on the potential of high launch rates and rocket reusability: "The potential is there with a high launch rate, if one can achieve full, and rapid reusability to improve the cost of space access by a factor of more than 100."

Elon Musk: "I don't ever give up. I’d have to be dead or completely incapacitated"
