One thing I’ve noticed attending so many awards and events, women make so much of their speeches about their husbands and kids. Men tend to not do that very often, like they may acknowledge them, they may not, and when they do it’s very short.

And when these husbands died, notice how many women outlived them and preferred to live alone but have communal support. One of my faves in my neighborhood told my mom and I that she ain't had a man in her house since 1974. She passed away in 2024 at 103.
