@LilaWilson18 That’s not what Jake told the dad. The dad asked since Jake thought he was being petty why didn’t he interfere like Amy, and he said because he wouldn’t want someone to do that to him.
@SynCityyTV She always has to be right. She’s not alone here though. Sonya is bad about it too. Jake told the dad he shut Amy down because it’s what he would for his daughter so he was getting personal too and has before. Onky TJ really doesn’t do it
@LilaWilson18 Sonya has learned from her mistakes and has humbled herself enough to understand what it will take to be a good chief resident. Amy had to be checked by Joan and told what we all know, she’s a horrible teacher and team player and she’s not even humble enough to recognize it.
@TheAddisonWay Why? Sonya was awful in her leadership episode. She’s not a great teacher. She tried a power play that killed a kid. That doesn’t scream give her more power to me
@Nikelodeon2021 I agree but Amy had no nuance. Nurses were treated like crap, students, coworkers, everyone. It was too vast and too extreme. She lacked balance.
@TheAddisonWay You also have to understand that as a woman in that field, Amy knew Sonya needed to develop tougher skin. You can’t allow your emotions to dictate how you perform. The men in that boardroom didn’t see the value in Sonya. Amy did, & literally put herself on the line to protect her
How are we rewarding a doctor with a promotion that quite literally killed a young patient because she was too stubborn to listen to Amy though? #DocOnFox
@Nikelodeon2021 Gen Z, and for me a teacher like Amy wouldn’t work. I couldn’t learn like that. I would hate her too much to take anything from it. I feel like it’s only impactful if that’s the way you digest information. Not everyone’s like that.
@TheAddisonWay Not sure what era you grew up in but for me everyone I know that had a teacher like that, hated them in the moment. But the older they got they had more appreciation for what the teacher did, and understood how impactful that teacher actually was on their lives.
@Nikelodeon2021 for me shecame close to being a bully. A good teacher understands that you need to adapt your approach depending on your student. If you can’t you’ve already failed as teacher. The Jake’s could handle it but the Sonya’s and many others couldn’t.
@TheAddisonWay 😂 Even though I see why some people don’t like her, Amy is ultimately just the teacher that a lot of people grew up with that was harder on some students because she sees more potential in them than they even see in themselves. It’s her way of pushing them to be great.
@Nikelodeon2021 It’s kinda wild that Amy did all that and then turned around and told her that maybe she shouldn’t be a doctor. But I think things should flow better now.
@TheAddisonWay The dynamic between the two will def be interesting and make for good tv. The flashback earlier in the season that showed Amy being the reason Sonya even got the job because Amy believed in her and fought for her was touching. So we’ll see what happens next.
@Nikelodeon2021 Very small number of people abide by the oath in that department lol. Amy out there injecting people with illegal substances, dr miller a killer, Joan is reckless, Sonya has (rightfully) attempted to kill a patient, TJ let a max strong arm his medical advice. Its crazy.
@TheAddisonWay That last sentence is exactly my point about the show painting in the gray areas lol. Joan shouldn’t even have been allowed to decide who replaced her. And Dr. Miller should’ve never been let back on staff. This is a hospital and they all took an oath.😂
@TheAddisonWay But it’s a tv show, so bring on the drama.😂 Ultimately every character does an amazing job at their roles. So I’m not looking to see anyone leave. I’m just stating the black & white of where this show paints too much in the gray areas sometimes.
@Nikelodeon2021 I personally find that Sonya’s ability to connect to those coming up and malleability to learning and understanding her shortcomings is necessary to balance out Amy’s arrogance and underveloped teaching ability and Amy’s basically an attending. I think they’ll work.
@TheAddisonWay When it comes to saving lives they are not in the same category of flaws and shortcomings lol. This isn’t about feelings when there are lives on the line imo.
But for the purpose of good tv & drama, we’ll see how they work out together!
@Nikelodeon2021 I think we can acknowledge that both candidates are flawed and together they make a stronger unit. If sonya has had her shortcomings, so has Amy in other areas.
@TheAddisonWay You can dislike Amy all you want, Sonya is on record stating her actions directly contributed to the death of that kid. She knew she was at fault and it was simply because she was being petty. None of those doctors are there to be liked or adored. They took an oath to save lives.
@Nikelodeon2021 She had a different opinion and dug in her heels. The same way Amy had a different opinion in that flashback with Richard and the patient died, it happens.let’s say she did make a mistake, the amount of chaos Amy brings to that department has put several people’s lives at risk.
@TheAddisonWay Ummm Sonya allowed her hate for Amy to prevent her from running the necessary tests to determine the patient’s true condition. Had she listened to Amy they would’ve had the test results well before Charlie crashed the system. Sonya even admitted that.🤷♀️
@TheAddisonWay I was like woman you helped create the problem. She’s the one who told Amy she’s the smartest person in the room and should say it. I rolled my eyes at her suddenly seeing that as a problem.
Joan now trying to knock Amy down a couple of pegs (and rightfully so) is interesting because pre-accident she used to gas up Amy’s ego and arrogance like no other. And Amy was a horrible teacher and team player back then too. #doconfox
@MILEY0NCE Cooked!! Because she went and chose a man whose defense mechanism clashes with hers because it’s similar. She creates a gap and he goes and widens it, I can’t😂
@MILEY0NCE Exactly and what this ep has shown me again is that whenever she begins to pull away, Jake does the exact same thing like clockwork. Does she know she has 30 minutes?
@MILEY0NCE Cheating is in his dna. The going gets tough and it ain’t going to be a Michael that’s going to hold you down. Because he doesn’t have the capacity nor emotional maturity to manage his emotions and someone else’s. But if that’s what Amy wants, good luck.
@MILEY0NCE Not only Katie, but she also likes to feed her own delusions as if she’s not in the real world. This is all building up to Michael declaring himself. Let’s get it over with.
