@Super_Shanko also yeah the faster the speed, the hotter the flash memory gets. It's why a lot of SSDs come with heatsinks. Seen so many people reporting their high speed Micro SDs melting after they use them on the switch.

@Super_Shanko There's also a technical limitation of cartridges because of how modern AAA game engines work (4K asset streaming, shader pre-caching etc) They require an insanely high read speed, about 3000-5000 MB/s at the very minimum. Switch 2's cartridges can only go up to 400 MB/s.
